Bar Douro has opened its third London restaurant at 10 Greek Street in Soho, London Lately reports. It opened on Wednesday 4 November.

The headline dish: vaca velha, beef from older cows of the Maronesa breed from northern Portugal. London Lately says it is the first UK restaurant to serve it. It is cooked over an open grill as rib-eye and sirloin.

The rest of the menu: Portuguese small plates, including garlic prawns, salt cod and black pork, with a long Portuguese wine list.

The room: blue and white azulejo tiles. Groups of up to 14 can book online.

The offer: members of The Nudge get 50% off food from 4 to 18 November, though the rib-eye is excluded.

Getting there: the nearest station is Tottenham Court Road.

If you fancy a long, slow dinner with a bottle from Portugal, this is a new one to book.
