Bottega by San Carlo is back in Selfridges Manchester with a new look
Local art on the walls, a truffle-heavy autumn menu and cocktails inspired by Venice, Milan and Rome.

Bottega by San Carlo, which first opened inside Selfridges Manchester in 2013, has reopened after a refurbishment, Hospitality & Catering News reports. Doors opened again on 15 October.
The look: a brighter, modern room hung with portraits and colourful pieces by Manchester artists, including Vincent Spain, Connie Celeste, Oliver Gaiger, Daisy Fulton and Suzanne Bethel.
On the autumn menu - Beetroot carpaccio with goat's cheese, asparagus and a yuzu honey dressing. - Veal carpaccio with celeriac cream, wild mushrooms and black truffle. - Smoked rigatoni with monkfish and bisque. - Pumpkin risotto finished at your table in a pecorino wheel, topped with black truffle. - Slow-braised beef cheek with mash and salsa verde, and pumpkin ravioli with sage butter.
The drinks: a cocktail list called La Dolce Vita, inspired by the great bars of 20th-century Italy. Look out for the Hemingway Martini, a Bellini 1948 nodding to Harry's Bar in Venice, a Campari Seltz and a Negroni Sbagliato.
Go if: you want a proper sit-down lunch between Christmas shopping stops, or a Bellini before a night out in town.
