Two Newcastle independents have teamed up for colder Sundays. Khai Khai's Curry Pie Club now comes wrapped in Pink Lane Bakery's pastry, Get into Newcastle reports. It pairs a Quayside Indian restaurant with one of the city's best-known bakeries, and it's built for sharing on a slow Sunday.

The deal: £20 a head gets you pappads and chutneys, a pie, two sides and a sauce. Dessert is £5 more.

The pies - Tandoori Broccoli (new, and vegan) - Old Delhi Butter Chicken - Lamb Roganjosh - Kheema Matar - Vegetable Jalfrezi

When: every Sunday, 12 noon to 4.30pm at Khai Khai on the Quayside. You can now collect them to take away during the same hours. Pink Lane Bakery is also selling a limited run in its shops on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October, so today is your last chance to pick one up there.
