Bar Dos opens in Ancoats from the team behind Stray
A 70-cover late-night bar with two cocktail lists and playlists from Manchester artists.
The people behind Manchester cocktail bar Stray have opened Bar Dos at 76 Great Ancoats Street, CLASS reports. It's a 70-cover bar built around music, open Wednesday to Sunday and until 1am at weekends. Stray already has a following for its cocktails, so this is the same team taking a bigger room a short walk away.
The drinks: draught beer, wine and two cocktail lists. Uno is the team's take on classics; Dos is their own creations. Drinks are designed to keep waste down.
The music: playlists curated by artists including Private Joy, Space Afrika, Chunky, and Konny Kon of Children of Zeus, plus DJs.
The feel: music comes first, with the room set up for listening as much as for drinking.
Worth knowing: it's a good late option in Ancoats when you want a proper drink and good music without a club.
