The Bay Horse in Whickham shuts for a refit, and is hiring for when it reopens
The Front Street pub closes from Monday 26 October and is due back in November with a new function room called The Hayloft.
The Bay Horse on Front Street in Whickham, Gateshead, closes from Monday 26 October for a refurbishment, ChronicleLive reports. It's due to reopen in November, in time for Christmas.
What's changing - The upstairs function room becomes The Hayloft, for big matches, birthdays and baby showers. - The bar, dining areas and toilets downstairs are all being done up, inside and out. - Sky Sports and TNT Sports stay, so it will still be a match-day pub.
If you're after work: the pub is recruiting for its kitchen and bar teams, with full-time and part-time roles. A reopening is a good time to join. Everyone starts on the new layout together, and the first weeks are usually busy, with lots of training and a staff team that's still forming.
