Tom Booton goes solo with Ralphie's, a Belgravia bistro named after his dog
The former Dorchester Grill chef opens a 40-seat British bistro on Pimlico Road in late November, with pies, moules and a basement den.

Tom Booton, the chef who made his name at The Dorchester, is opening his first restaurant of his own. Ralphie's, named after his Maltipoo, arrives at 87 Pimlico Road in Belgravia in late November, Restaurant Online reports. It takes over the old Enoteca Turi site.
What it's like - A British bistro with a 40-seat dining room - A small outdoor terrace - The Den, a 14-seat private dining room downstairs that looks into the kitchen - Wine and cocktails
On the menu Pork and mushroom pie with charcuterie sauce, moules marinière, and specials chalked up on a blackboard each day. Booton says the food is built around what he loves to cook and eat, with great produce at the heart of it.
The chef Booton trained in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Alyn Williams at The Westbury and at Dabbous. In 2019 he opened The Grill by Tom Booton at The Dorchester, becoming the youngest head chef in that restaurant's history.
Most of all, he says, he wants Ralphie's to feel like "a proper neighbourhood restaurant". Follow the restaurant's socials for the opening date.
