The markets open on Friday 6 November across nine locations, with Lincoln Square new for 2026 and no Piccadilly Gardens this year.

The full trader list for Manchester Christmas Markets is out, Secret Manchester reports, with almost 200 stalls lined up for the opening on Friday 6 November.

Where to find them Albert Square, Lincoln Square, King Street, St Ann's Square, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street, Market Street, Exchange Square and Cathedral Gardens. Lincoln Square is new this year. Piccadilly Gardens is out because of the redevelopment works there.

A few things to queue for - Giant Yorkshire pudding wraps loaded with meat, roast potatoes, stuffing and gravy, or served open as a bowl - Homemade crumble puddings with matching speciality coffees - Binchotan-grilled yakitori and matcha desserts from North Star Piccadilly and NIWA Yakitori in St Ann's Square - Pies with mash and onion gravy from The Great North Pie Company on King Street - Hong Kong French toast, including egg tart and Dubai versions

There's plenty to drink too, from craft lager and mulled wine at the King Street Craft Bar to Salford spiced rum and Manchester gin to take home.

Worth knowing: with three weeks to go, now's the time to plan which squares you'll hit, and how many Yorkshire puddings is too many.
