The Harp & Stripes puts Guinness and oysters inside Fenwick
A pop-up from Guinness, Newcastle United and Fenwick, open until January.

A new bar has opened inside Fenwick on Northumberland Street, ChronicleLive reports. The Harp & Stripes is a team-up between Guinness, Newcastle United and the department store.
Where: the counter next to the Food Hall, which was previously the Greggs Champagne Bar and then Blacks Corner. It opened on Tuesday 3 November and is due to stay until January.
The food: three types of oysters, plus pies. There is a steak and Guinness one and a chickpea jalfrezi one. You will also find Welsh rarebit and smoked salmon and crème fraiche pâté on Guinness soda bread. Dessert is a Guinness and praline cheesecake.
The drinks: United-branded pints and halves of Guinness, Guinness Zero, and cocktails including a Black Velvet and a Guinness Bloody Mary.
The look: black, green and gold, with vintage photography and a few nods to Newcastle's football history.
It is a good stop between shopping and a match, or when you want an oyster without a long evening.
