The Ivy sets its Newcastle opening dates
The Brasserie opens on 1 December, with Ivy Asia upstairs two days later.
The Ivy has confirmed when its two Newcastle restaurants will open on Grey Street, ChronicleLive reports. The dates were revealed with projections on to the building and on to the Baltic in Gateshead.
When: The Ivy Brasserie opens on Tuesday 1 December. Ivy Asia follows on Thursday 3 December.
Where: the old Lloyds bank building on Grey Street, with the Brasserie downstairs and Ivy Asia on the floor above.
What to expect: the Brasserie is all-day dining, from breakfast and brunch to classic dishes, seasonal menus and dinner. Ivy Asia brings Asian-inspired dishes and sushi, in a dressed-up setting.
Book: reservations are open now for the Brasserie. Its listing suggests breakfast before exploring Grainger Market, or dinner before a night at the theatre.
Go if: you want a celebratory table in the middle of town, or somewhere smart for a December meal.
