Free online spiking and harassment training for bar staff, ahead of Halloween weekend
Wandsworth Council's course is open to everyone who deals with customers in licensed venues, including part-time and seasonal staff.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the weekend will be one of the busiest nights out before Christmas. Wandsworth Council has launched a free online course for customer-facing staff in licensed venues to help with exactly that kind of night.
Who it's for: everyone working with customers, including part-time, temporary and seasonal staff, not just managers and door teams.
What it covers - Recognising sexual harassment. - The signs that someone may have been spiked. - How to respond safely. - Looking after vulnerable customers. - How Ask for Angela works. - Your legal responsibilities.
Before Saturday, check you know - Who to tell on shift if a guest asks for Angela, and where you take them. - What to do with a drink you think has been tampered with: keep it, don't pour it away. - How to get a friend or a taxi sorted for someone who's unwell, rather than just asking them to leave.
What it means for your shift: a short course now makes a busy Saturday easier to handle. The council's page has the link, and the course is free.
