Bread Ahead's doughnuts are staying at Borough Market, for now
The bakery has agreed an extension that keeps its baking school running there until at least March 2028.

Good news if Borough Market isn't Borough Market without a Bread Ahead doughnut. The bakery has secured an extension that lets its baking school carry on at the market until at least March 2028, the BBC reports.
Founder Matthew Jones started with a small stall in 2013 selling sourdough, brownies and biscuits. He says the past few weeks of uncertainty were "pretty stressful", and that the bakery will look for a new home nearby during the extension. The Borough Market Trust says nothing has been agreed beyond March 2028.
Good to know - The shop and baking school carry on as normal - Its market stalls run on separate pitch licences - Bread Ahead now has 12 franchised stores in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and a New York bakery due next month
So there is time to book that doughnut class before any move.
