Medlock Canteen is back: Side Street, from Friday 16 October
The all-day Manchester favourite reopens at the ABC Buildings with breakfast through dinner, and £1 from every bill for Eat Well MCR.
Medlock Canteen reopens this Friday, 16 October, at Side Street in Manchester's ABC Buildings, on the corner of Quay Street and Lower Byrom Street, Secret Manchester reports. It closed at Deansgate Square in June 2025 after about 18 months.
What is coming back - All-day breakfast, lunch and dinner, Wednesday to Sunday - Returning favourites including the 50/50 mash, turkey schnitzel and the deep-fried dessert pie (cherry this time) - New plates such as Carlingford fried buffalo oysters, wild mushroom gnocchi, roast chicken and braised beef short rib - Sunday roast with chicken, beef, pork belly or a vegan celeriac schnitzel - £1 from every bill donated to Eat Well MCR
Breakfast runs from a Full Medlock to cinnamon rolls and baguettes to go. Lunch has a sandwich board with short rib, roast chicken Caesar, tuna with caper and cucumber, and more.
