Paros in Heaton serves its last Greek meal on 24 October
The Chillingham Road favourite is closing after five years, with a hint that something new could follow.

Paros, the Greek restaurant on Chillingham Road in Heaton, is closing, Chronicle Live reports. Its last day of trading is Saturday 24 October.
The team opened in February 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic, and built up a 4.9-star rating on both Google and Tripadvisor. Regulars have been filling the comments under the closure post on Facebook.
Before it goes - There's still time for one last meal: the team has invited everyone back before 24 October - After that, the team says it will keep welcoming people at Salparo Greek Restaurant in Newcastle city centre - And at its Kalimera bakeries in Gosforth and the city centre
The goodbye note ended on a tease, too, suggesting there could be surprises ahead and that the next chapter for that corner might be "closer than you think". No details yet.
It's another goodbye for Chillingham Road this month: NEST Dining, also on the road, announced its own closure earlier this week. If Paros has been your spot for a birthday or a Friday night, the next week and a bit is your window.
