Joe Lycett is buying drinks at 30 UK pubs this Friday

Joe Lycett is funding free drinks at 30 pubs around the UK on Friday 16 October, so you can have a drink on him. He read out the list at the end of the final episode of Love From The Lycett Arms on Channel 4, Secret London and the Manchester Evening News report, as a nudge to get people back into their locals.

In London - The Old Ivy, Clerkenwell - The Miller, London Bridge - Signature Brew, Haggerston - The Crown and Greyhound, Dulwich - The Dodo, Hanwell - Mikkeller Pub, Shoreditch

In Manchester - The Old Monkey on Portland Street, a Joseph Holt pub - The Peveril of the Peak on Great Bridgewater Street, the green-tiled Victorian corner pub that Time Out ranked the UK's best this summer

Further afield, the list takes in pubs in Brighton, Bath, Bristol, Sheffield, Cardiff and Kent. Julie Hesmondhalgh chose her home-town pub, The Crown in Accrington, and Adam Rickitt put forward his own bar, Dexter and Jones in Knutsford.

No start time has been given yet, and there's no word on how far the money goes, so if you're heading out, earlier is probably the smart move.
