Seasonal food-to-go brand Bewliehill has ceased trading and shut its remaining London sites in Bishopsgate and St Paul's, Restaurant Online reports. A London Gazette filing shows Matthew Richards and Robert Anthony Young of Azets were appointed joint administrators on 2 October, with the group entering administration noted on 9 October.

Founder Angus Lambert launched the concept in 2022. Announcing the closure on Instagram, he said the last day of service had just passed, almost five years after the journey began, and that growing a hospitality business right now is incredibly difficult. He pointed to the same pressures many operators have faced over the past year and urged people to keep supporting independent food and drink spots.

The operator read - Two City food-to-go sites gone in one stroke, after a wider contraction already left only those two open - Administration followed within days of the final service day - The founder's note framed the failure as industry-wide cost pressure rather than a single-site problem

City daytime footfall, rent and labour leave thin margins for bowl-and-coffee formats once the lunch crowd thins. For multi-site food-to-go plans aimed at office districts, Bewliehill is another reminder to model a softer midweek and a slower return-to-office curve before locking two expensive shells.
