Scream for Pizza is closing in Sandyford, with old favourites back for the final weeks
The Neapolitan-style pizzeria seen on the Hairy Bikers shuts in about six weeks, then comes back with a new name and a more grown-up concept.

Scream for Pizza in Sandyford is closing after seven-and-a-bit years there, Chronicle Live reports. Founders Alex Walker and Victoria Featherby left jobs on a cruise ship to train at a pizzeria in Naples, ran the business from a converted French army ambulance, then opened the Sandyford restaurant. Along the way it appeared on the Hairy Bikers and on the BBC's Britain's Top Takeaway.
What's happening - The restaurant closes in roughly six weeks - Until then, it's bringing back old menu favourites, and it's asking fans on Instagram which ones they want - After that comes a refurbishment and a full rebrand, name and all, into what it calls a new, more grown-up space
Fans have already asked for the Funk Seoul, the crab pizza and the green chilli dip.
Still going: sister brand I Scream for Pizza carries on serving slices and ices across Newcastle and Sunderland.
