Daniel Craig is going into the pub game. The actor has taken on The Horseshoe on Clerkenwell Close, The Times reported, with coverage from BigHospitality and The Caterer.
Who's behind it - Daniel Craig, whose parents ran a pub and whose grandparents had one in Chester - Nick Jones, founder of Soho House - Charlie Carroll, founder of Flat Iron and part of the team behind Soho favourite The Devonshire, who will look after the food - Justin O'Shea, the creative lead at beer brand Bad Belze
What to expect - The ground floor keeps its old-school pub feel, with bar snacks - A first-floor restaurant with a bigger menu, spread across a warren of rooms upstairs - A beer garden
It's the first pub for both Craig and Jones. Pauline and Richard Tucker, who ran The Horseshoe, are retiring after 36 years.
