BBC Food finds a top breakfast toastie at the Camera Shop on Collingwood Street
The tiny sandwich shop next to the Vampire Rabbit got a rave from BBC Food's Harriet Fisher, and the regulars aren't thrilled about the extra queue.

One of Newcastle's best sandwich spots has just had its moment on BBC Food. In a video on the BBC Food Instagram account last week, food expert Harriet Fisher asked a local out running on the Quayside where to go for breakfast, ChronicleLive reports. The answer came straight back: the Camera Shop, for its pastries and coffee.
What she ordered: the Breakfast Toastie, with - streaky bacon - mozzarella - posh ketchup - spicy harissa - roasted tomato
She called it delicious and so fresh, and gave the staff a shout-out too.
You'd walk straight past it if you didn't know. The small building on Collingwood Street sits next to Revolution, Manahatta and the Vampire Rabbit, and from the outside it doesn't look much like a sandwich shop. It has been in the city for years and still has a loyal crowd. One regular replied to the video asking people not to tell everyone, because they can barely get in for lunch as it is.
Worth the trip? If you're in town early, go before the lunch rush and order the toastie. If you're a regular, sorry: the secret's out.
