Good luck getting a seat. Endo Kazutoshi, one of the most famous sushi chefs on the planet, has opened Endo, a 10-seat omakase in Chelsea, Time Out reports. It's in the former Five Fields site, and his Endo at the Rotunda in White City stays shut after a fire.

There's no menu. You sit at a 200-year-old hinoki counter shipped over from Kyoto and eat whatever Endo fancies making that night. The Caterer adds that ingredients are sourced from across Japan, including nori from Hayashiya at Tokyo's Toyosu Market.

Upstairs is Moga, a listening bar kitted out with custom Taguchi speakers. Its cocktails take inspiration from Endo's travels through Paris, Milan, Madrid and Hong Kong. For now Moga is only for people dining downstairs, but the rest of us can wander in for a drink from December.

So what? This is one for the bucket list, or the birthday you've been saving for. If omakase at this level isn't in the budget, put December in the diary and get a cocktail upstairs to soak up the vibe. Ten seats in all of London means booking is basically a competitive sport, so set your alarm.
