The Grosvenor Arms in Earlsfield is reopening after a refurbishment, Restaurant Online reports. Fergus Wilford, formerly head chef at Fallow, will lead the kitchen for a limited residency from 17 November.

What's on the menu Expect a Baron Bigod crumpet, hispi cabbage with Marmite butter and fried cod wing with mussels. Breakfast brings pastries from Paul Rhodes Bakery, with sandwiches also available at lunch.

The Victorian layout stays, including the wood-panelled bar and mosaic tiles.

The menu also includes sharing dishes, with whole fish and whole-animal butchery part of Wilford’s approach. It gives you options beyond a sandwich and a pint.

Worth knowing: we would put the reopening in the diary if you're after a new pub meal in Earlsfield. Wilford's residency is temporary, rather than a permanent appointment.
