Pressure doesn't stop when your shift does: the free 24/7 helpline for hospo staff
The Licensed Trade Charity has launched Always On Shift ahead of the festive rush. Here's what it offers and how to reach it.

The Licensed Trade Charity (LTC), which supports people who work in pubs, bars and hospitality, has launched a campaign called Always On Shift, its chief executive Chris Welham wrote in the Morning Advertiser. At its heart is a film about a typical day for a hospitality worker, when stress from work and home starts to pile up.
What the LTC offers - A free, confidential helpline, open 24/7: 0808 801 0550 - Support for 45,000 people last year, when calls to the helpline rose 55% - An Employee Assistance Programme that employers can offer their teams
Try this on your next shift - Save the helpline number in your phone, so it's there for you or a mate - Ask your manager whether your workplace already offers wellbeing support, and how to use it - If you're leading the team that night, mention in the pre-shift briefing where support is, especially as December gets closer
The LTC is asking people to watch the film, share it with their team and use it to start a conversation about what helps people switch off after work. Details are on the charity's website, licensedtradecharity.org.uk.
