Red Light is back, with a new home on Tariff Street from 9 October

The much-loved LGBTQ+ cocktail bar returns to the Northern Quarter with its old favourites, new snacks, Sunday jazz and a terrace.

Good news for anyone who missed it after the summer. Red Light, the queer-friendly cocktail bar that left Little David Street in August, reopens on Friday 9 October in the Northern Quarter, Manchester's Finest reports.

What's new - A bigger space on Tariff Street, next door to The Whisky Jar - Booths, red lighting and an outdoor terrace open until 11pm - Walls hung with work by local queer photographers - A downstairs club space still to come later in the year

What to order Fans will spot the Pink Picante, the Pomme Verte (Red Light's spin on an appletini), the spicy pickle martini Especiado and the Pornstar Chic with homemade passionfruit sorbet. New snacks include boquerones, Gordal olives and pickled guindilla peppers, plus blondies from Pollen and a salted popcorn ice cream.

What's on Jazz every Sunday, drag and burlesque, Italo disco and French house nights, and late DJ sets.
