The Hong Kong-style canteen on Wardour Street is serving its last meals this month. Go for the roast duck while you can.

Time to book a farewell dinner. Café TPT, the Hong Kong-style canteen at 21 Wardour Street, is closing after almost two decades in Chinatown, Time Out reports. Its last service is on 27 October.

The restaurant shared the news on Instagram without giving a reason. It thanked everyone who walked through its doors and celebrated with them, and said that after so many years, it was time to say goodbye.

What to order before it goes - Roast duck on rice, the dish it's best known for - Stuffed tofu in a hot stone bowl - Something from the seafood list, which runs to more than 50 dishes

The menu in the window is famously long, covering Cantonese and Malaysian cooking, Hong Kong cafe classics and dishes from across the Chinese diaspora, all from a very small kitchen. The awning promises Chinese street food, and it's the kind of place regulars have been going back to for years.

Where: 21 Wardour Street, London W1D 6PN, just inside the Chinatown gate. Last day: Tuesday 27 October.
