Pints With Purpose - LTC crowns hospo's wellbeing heroes
The Licensed Trade Charity handed out its 2026 wellbeing awards and launched a scheme that turns kegs into donations.

Some good news for a change. The Licensed Trade Charity (LTC) held its annual awards dinner on 1 October at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London, with more than 300 people from the trade in the room, The Morning Advertiser reports. The awards recognise people and businesses that look after their teams.
The winners: - Wellbeing Champion: Sam Hagger, founder and MD of The Beautiful Pubs Collective - Fundraiser of the Year: Steve Alton, chief executive of the BII - Excellence in Workplace Wellbeing, Suppliers: Sysco GB - Operators under 250 sites: Butcombe Group - Operators over 251 sites: Punch Pubs & Co
The night also launched Karma Keg, a joint project with ekeg that turns pints into fundraising for the charity and the pubs taking part. Guests also got a first look at Always On Shift, a new LTC campaign about the pressure hospo workers are under and getting more of them to ask for help. That follows a personalised wellbeing platform the charity launched earlier this year. LTC says it supported 45,000 people in 2025 and had another record year for fundraising.
So what for hospo people? If you work in licensed hospitality, LTC's practical, health and financial support is there for you. It's not just for landlords. If the late finishes, the money stress or your head are getting on top of you, look them up. Asking for help isn't weak, it's sensible.
